The click-to-call advanced API from Orange allows you to establish phone calls between two numbers from your web application, in a post-paid mode.

The click-to-call API enables you to:
  establish calls between two numbers

  construct "call me" buttons or call functions in your application

  choose whether to hide or display numbers

 

The click-to-call advanced API calls the same Orange enabler as the click-to-call instant API with two different characteristics:

  billing service in a post-paid mode

  integration of the web service in SOAP mode

 

Functions available

click-to-call API can be personalised and enables you:

to hide the caller and the callee’s number or both at the same time

to limit a call to a specific duration

to asks for a confirmation before calling the callee

to specify the language of call confirmation (English or French)

to choose the audio file to be played while waiting for the callee to pick up the phone

to follow, to track your call with the furniture of daily or monthly use statistics

to use some login/password to display the use on different counts

The API is in post-paid commercial mode

This means that it is based around a commercial model allowing you to make unlimited calls. Usage is billed to your monthly Orange Business Services account. If you are not an Orange Business Services customer, you will have to become one.

Phone calls can be established between any landline, mobile and VoIP terminals in most countries throughout the world.


The API is not limited to Orange customers only, it can also be used to connect customers from any operator.

Please note, calls to premium numbers are not permitted.

Use this API to establish calls between users of your application, or let visitors call you from your blog / website.

The web service uses a SOAP style interface with a login/password to identify the user.

Some frameworks allow to build the client interface in the website. For example in Java, you can use the Axis framework.
