The click-to-call API from Orange allows you to establish phone calls between two numbers directly within your web application.

New notification parameter

Your application is now able to be notified of the call-relative events, directly to your URL:
caller has answered, call has answered, start and end date of the call etc…

Many options available to personalise event more the click-to-call:

The private parameter has been upgraded, you can now hide the caller and the callee’s number or both at the same time.
The max_duration parameter allows you to limit a call to a specific duration.
call_confirmation asks for a confirmation before calling the callee.
The lang parameter specifies the language of call_confirmation’s (English or French).
audio_url allows you to chose the audio file played while waiting for the callee to pick up the phone.


Phone calls can be established between any landline, mobile and VoIP terminals in most countries throughout the world.


The API is not limited to Orange customers, it can be used to connect anybody.
Phone numbers can either be displayed or hidden from the connecting users.


Please note, calls to premium numbers are not permitted.


Use this API to establish calls between users of your application, or let visitors call you from your blog / website.


In a nutshell, the click-to-call API enables you to:

 establish calls between two numbers
 considerably set-up your calls
 construct 'call me' buttons or call functions in your application

technical features

The click-to-call API is a web service to establish calls between numbers.


The web service exposes a REST-RPC style interface.


The requests use GET and POST methods in HTTP or HTTPS mode.

Currently, the API is in beta mode

This means that the previous alpha mode limitation by quotas has been replaced by a strong commercial model. This model is made simple and attractive with low prices to help you develop your business. So go ahead and purchase credits to upgrade your applications and web sites with click-to-call capabilities.

There are no daily limits as you are now able to purchase credit bundles in Euros for making click-to-call calls.

 


Credits will be deducted from your pre-pay account every time you use the click-to-call API. There are special offers (discounts) available when you top-up by a certain amount,

You can check how much credit you have left, top-up your account (using Visa or Mastercard) and view how much you've earned through the API Manager
