Parlay X APIs - influence the standards Parlay is all about telecom-enabling your products. At Orange, we're working with The Parlay Group to give Orange Partner members the opportunity to help define the future of Parlay X APIs. We want you to help us define new APIs and shape existing ones. Find out how you can do this … what are Parlay X APIs? Parlay X APIs are a new, evolving set of APIs (created by The Parlay Group), that can help you develop applications that operate across multiple, networking-platform environments. Parlay X APIs:
view the Parlay X 2.0 Overview The Parlay Group is a multi-vendor consortium formed to develop open, technology-independent APIs: Parlay APIs. The Parlay Group works together with ETSI and 3GPP to create Parlay/OSA APIs. Parlay X APIs are created and developed through a dedicated process, The Parlay Group's Parlay Accelerator Programme. The output from this process is then fed into the standardisation process at 3GPP. (You can find out more about The Parlay Group and the costs involved in joining from
The first step in Parlay X API creation is for Parlay Group members to submit ideas for new APIs. Through Orange Partner you can add your ideas to this process (even if you're not a member of The Parlay Group!).
Right here on the Orange Partner site! We've set up a discussion forum (moderated by the Orange Parlay Group representative) so that you can submit and debate your ideas for new APIs! Check out "what we're looking for" below, and then tell us what you need! Members, join the defining Parlay X APIs discussion Your ideas will be taken to The Parlay Group for possible development.
To get you thinking, here are some examples of recent APIs under development:
Information about these topics is published on the 3GPP website in the CT5, OSA section (Open Service Access is the 3GPP term for 'Parlay'). Why not also take a look below at how you can shape the existing Parlay X APIs? shaping the EXISTING Parlay X APIs So far, 13 Parlay X APIs have been created. Do you think there are parameters or functions missing from the existing list? We'll send your comments to The Parlay Group, and let you know how the parameters will change as a result of your feedback. Recent enhancements have involved: Find out more about these and other change requests on the 3GPP website |
