The Orange Compatible endorsement gives you the opportunity to leverage the Orange brand when marketing your application, and is an indication of a quality, tested app.
To be eligible to use it, your app must be live in the Orange Application Shop, and you must be an Orange Partner premium member.

what is Orange Compatible?

Orange Compatible is a 'seal of approval' (endorsement) for mobile solutions which comprises the Orange Compatible mark and a worded endorsement.

The use of the mark and worded endorsement alongside a third-party mobile application, content or solution ('product') shows to the outside world that we believe that the product functions properly on the Orange network and that it:

 should not contain known malware
 should not generate unexpected billable events
 should not generate an unexpected level of customer support when used in conjunction with the Orange network

who can gain the Orange Compatible endorsement?

Orange Compatible is awarded by Orange Partner to mobile products (not to premium members) that are live in the Application Shop.

As such, these apps will have undergone and passed the relevant Industry Standard and Orange testing, and do not fall into the category of 'inappropriate content'.
In addition, the premium member provides first-line support for any problems customers may have with the application.

what does the Orange Compatible worded endorsement say?

The worded endorsement to be used by premium members - at all times in association with the mark - will say the following:

"Orange has tried and tested this application, content or solution and is satisfied that it is compatible with Orange technology.

However, because this isn't an Orange service, please contact [name of premium member] on [phone number / url] for customer support."

how and where can I use Orange Compatible?

Once the Orange Compatible endorsement is awarded, premium members will be able to use the mark and worded endorsement - with explicit reference to the appropriate product - on:

 web sites
 promotional literature
 press releases (with agreed wording)
 newsletters
 product manuals

how do premium members get the Orange Compatible endorsement?

If your application is live in the Orange Application Shop, and you are an Orange Partner premium member, your app can be granted the Orange Compatibility endorsement. We’ll be in touch with you about this, once your app is live in the Shop.

Please note, this applies to the application which is live in the Shop only, and not to your entire product portfolio.

how do I know I've been awarded the endorsement and what happens next?

If you gain the endorsement, you will receive an email from the Orange Partner team, stating explicitly for which version of which product you have been awarded the endorsement.

The email will direct you to a password-protected section of www.orangepartner.com containing downloadable versions of the following:

 Orange Compatible compliance form
 Orange Compatible terms & conditions of use
 Orange Compatible brand guidelines

Upon successful completion, submission and acceptance of the 'Orange Compatible compliance form' (to be completed and submitted from the url), we will send you a link to the logos, and you will be able to start using the Orange Compatible mark and worded endorsement for the product version approved by Orange Partner.
