IDVD: "play games on your TV with your remote control"
IDVD is a prototype DVD to TV tool which makes interactive DVD content available to users, through their TV without need for a DVD player. With IDVD, users access a catalogue of interactive content. The content is games and entertainment oriented, made up of video streams and xml files for interactivity. Users navigate within the catalogue, and content from transcoded interactive DVDs is realised with a standard (STB) remote control. IDVD will be accessible from the Orange TV portal. IDVD is a generic solution that can be re used for other video services eg VOD : DVD films to access chapters, bonus scenes....
The channel can be used to discover new music video and artists, and is a fully converged service available at home (via PC) and on the go (via mobile).
Digital Music Management is a digital music track catalogue which can be played back on both pc and mobile. Traditionally, users can download tracks to either their mobile, or their PC. Digital Music Management is a more flexible service, enabling users to download the track to the mobile, and then transfer to the PC via cable. Additionally the desktop software enables users to manage podcasts, rip and sideload music from CDs to mobile. This service is live in a range of Orange countries, including the UK. devices zone
