13 APIs launched at Partner Camp
We have opened APIs so that Orange Partner members can gain access to the core tools of our infrastructure, and use them to add value to your applications. And (since being launched at Partner Camp) they're all available to use, now, here on the Orange Partner website, in the new
access Orange APIs section
As introduced in the Orange API and Widget workshop at Partner Camp, there are 4 different types of API, each offering access to different functionality for completely different purposes:
|
Advanced Communication APIs:
... allow you to integrate Orange communication services into business applications, to bring convergence services to users' desktops and screens |
 |
|
Instant Communication APIs:
... allow you to introduce telecommunication services into your internet applications, such as voice, SMS, geolocation |
 |
|
Personal APIs:
... allow Orange customers to access their profile, contacts, messages, calendar and photos via your website |
 |
|
Web 2.0 Community APIs:
... allow developers to create widgets and mobile widgets for our webtop, Bubbletop, and mash-ups for our photo sharing product, Pikeo |

37 speed dating contestant and 100 1-2-1s
|
The organised meet us activities were extremely popular – 100 of you requested 1-2-1 meetings, and 37 of you took part in speed dating (double this number applied!). Plus 38 of you applied for the Orange Innovation Contest – find out more about the contest
The meet us activities were a great way of getting your product in front of a whole range of people from Orange France Telecom and our sponsors.
Whether it was 1-2-1s with people who want to find out more about your specific product, the 18 from Orange and our sponsors who you met speed dating or the 20-strong judging panel for the Orange Innovation Contest, these activities helped you efficiently meet the right contacts.
Speed dating contestants had 4 minutes to present their product to three different groups of people from Orange France Telecom, and also our sponsors.

We saw 37 great presentations about a real range of mobile and converged products and services, including content, applications, handset based apps, tools for developers to use, business and consumer products… well done to all those who managed to get their messages across in such a short timeslot.
We also gave you the chance to provide product details and request a pre-arranged 1-2-1 meeting with interested people from Orange.
100 of you applied for 1-2-1s in this way, and many useful connections have been made as a result.
Plus we know that many of you had ad hoc meetings at Partner Camp, with us, with our sponsors, with your peers. We could see you at dinner, in the bar, by the pool, with or without laptops and beer, deep in conversation...
From your feedback, we know that you found the organised meet us activities really valuable.
"It is critically important to understand the Orange vision and to meet with the key executives behind the vision in order to identify both immediate and longer-term opportunities for supplying technology companies."
Dr Daniel Trangmar, Vice President, EMEA FutureDial Inc.
