Orange Innovation Contest
|
We were looking for the best-of-the-best innovation for products or services within the broadband, mobile, fixed or converged space.
We saw over 60 solutions, and with difficulty compiled a short-list of 10 to present to the panel of judges at Partner Camp.
Being short-listed for the contest gave contestants a unique opportunity to get in front of senior decision makers from Orange and France Telecom Group.

And being able to see your products, and hear directly from you about them was extremely valuable to us too - this is why the judging panel has grew to an unprecedented 20 judges.
We saw a really broad range of products, from simple downloadable apps to mobile wifi to multimedia converged services. Judges who had been involved in previous innovation contests commented on the high levels of professionalism among the contestants, and the consideration had already been given to the revenue side of the product, even at this stage.

As you can imagine, with 20 judges from all areas of the business, there was fierce debate before a final decision was reached.

And the winner, as announced in the closing pow wow, was:
adtronic 1.0 mobile advertising system by Liquid Air Lab GmbH

what is it?
adtronic is a new innovative way to monetise mobile applications and services through advertising.
what does it do?
adtronic displays visual ads when the user receives incoming calls, a missed call, SMS or MMS messages.
With adtronic, the user controls the amount of advertising he wants to receive. The operator gives incentives to receive advertising in the form of free text messages, voice minutes or other services such as free songs, mobile TV subscriptions etc.
adtronic can also be bundled with a mobile application to serve as an in-application advertising solution.
adtronic helps mobile operators to raise ARPU and customer loyalty by offering attractive personalised advertising to the user, while not disturbing the phone experience.
