the fun

In true Code Camp style at Opio there were plenty of opportunities to let your hair down and play.

'This area was always busy (even into the early hours of the morning) with people playing the fairground games, arcade machines, ping pong or just hanging out, chatting or hunched over laptops'

Will Fletcher - Modaco

the Pavilion
The heart of Code Camp, with a bar at one end, breakout rooms and a cinema off to the side, was decked out with a selection of fairground games from each of the sponsors including Orange Partner.

the Welcome Fair

Buzzing with anticipation of what was to come over the next few days…the Welcome Fair at the end to the first day was a great way to meet the Orange team, the sponsors and mingle with the other attendees.

In true fun fair style the array of games challenged the strength, skill and stamina of participants. With cocktails upon arrival and traditional fairground treats, candy floss and toffee apples helped smooth proceedings along.

'Campus feel, enjoyable and informative event'

Nick Spiro - Telecoms paper

the Fun Fest

At the end of the second day the Pavilion was transformed in to a carnival, adorned with balloons with the smell of freshly made crêpes with ice-cream wafting through the air.

The Fun Fest was an opportunity for everyone to relax and get to know each other even better.

Bucking broncos, Segway riding, fairground competitions, and handset give-aways were just a few of the activities to chose from. Plus, a fantastic live band really got the party started.

the games
Accompanying each sponsor area within the Pavilion was a traditional fairground game. Attendees were encouraged to play as many times as they liked throughout the event (and of course speak with the Sponsors).

The highest scores were recorded and the winners were announced at the Fun Fest on the second night.

the give-aways
Prizes, prizes, prizes - there were many to be given away.

Goodies from Orange and the sponsors including a Treo handset were awarded at the Fun Fest to the fairground games winners, from the last two days, and the overall winner of the games (the person who spent the most time playing instead of attending sessions).

Plus, 40 free Sony Ericsson handsets were given away to delegates with the best reasons to have one!

the Cinema
If there was the slightest possibility that you found yourself with a spare hour or two some great films were screened at the exclusive Code Camp Cinema –with as much freshly made pop-corn as you'd like!

the Chill-out room
A place to chill and be mellow. Adjacent to the ever busy Pavilion the chill-out room was the place to be for some peace and calm. Attendees could unwind on inflatable chairs, listen to some relaxing music or simply chat with other attendees.

the food and drink
Complimentary food and drink were available from the top-notch restaurant – with a variety of cuisines and endless choice available to suit all tastes!

'Great organisation, great parties, great people!'
