hello ...

Welcome to the Orange Partner newsletter.

This special edition of the newsletter is devoted to information we learned and exchanged at Partner Camp. It's short and sweet, but sits in front of a wealth of information on our website.

Whether you were able to be there or not, don't worry, the website is full of slides, sessions reports, summaries and a short 5 minute video reminder.

Thanks to the many of you from over 13 countries who joined us there. We hope you learned as much as we did!

Sit back, enjoy, and we'll be in touch again soon.

With kind regards,

Steve Glagow
Orange Partner - Director

"Hands down the most fun business event I have ever been to.

To us it was a remarkable place to meet the right people at Orange and the Orange countries. Orange does things in absolute top-notch style and I can't wait until the next one."

Kelly Peters, VP Communications
Bluestreak Network

Did we get it right? We hope so.

Did you enjoy the 'let's talk about' sessions? They sparked some very interesting debates (which, unfortunately can't be displayed as summaries on the web site), and we certainly learned a lot ... did they work for you? Let us know.

Orange Partner is here to work with you, whether you are an existing supplier or not.

We need to continually know what you want from us – both as a programme, and at our key Partner Camp events.

Let us know what you think by emailing developers@orange.com with 'feedback' in the subject line.

Ringtone guidelines now available
Download the ringtone guidelines for content providers

At Partner Camp, Jonathan Jowitt from the UK multimedia team introduced and explained the Orange content guidelines – a set of documents to help content providers prepare their content for use over the Orange network on a number of devices.

The 'ringtones guidelines' document referred to by Jonathan is now available on our site, to complement the existing guidelines that are already available.

'Bringing the web to mobile users' – new MWI white paper
The mobile web and the road ahead – in the eyes of the France Telecom Group Orange Labs team.

This white paper was prompted by you at Partner Camp, and explores the current state of the mobile web and mobile browsers.

It has been written to go hand-in-hand with the Mobile Web Initiative Partner Camp sessions: 'an insight into The Mobile Web Initiative' and 'let's talk about Mobile Browsing Techniques', and complements the information already available through Orange Partner relating to the MWI and France Telecom Group Orange Labs involvmement.

Orange Compatible – now available from Orange Partner
The seal of approval that shows your product is compatible with Orange technology

We're proud to give you the chance to associate your mobile solutions, applications or content with Orange, through the Orange Compatible seal of approval. (Each time the session outlining Orange Compatible was held at Partner Camp, it was full. We weren't surprised.)

We're already processing the multitude of 'products' in our catalogue, awarding the endorsement to the relevant ones. (This will take a while, so if you're waiting to hear from us, please bear with us for the moment!)
