France Telecom Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Didier Lombard, in Romania to celebrate reaching
the 10 million Orange customer milestone

Orange, the local telecommunications market leader, is celebrating reaching the milestone of 10 million Romanian customers, in the presence of the Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Didier Lombard in Romania.

"We are very pleased with the results of Orange Romania, which has the sixth largest customer base in the France Telecom group. The local telecommunications market is very important to us and we will continue to invest here so as to provide to Romanian customers full communications services, developed based on Orange expertise", stated Didier Lombard, France Telecom Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

On this occasion, Orange has prepared a surprise for the 10th million customer: Ionut Stroe from Prahova county will be offered as a gift a one-week trip for two to Paris, in a five-star hotel. France Telecom will support all travel and accommodation expenses for the Orange customer.

With 10 million customers in Romania, Orange considers it has a great responsibility towards the entire community and that is why the company has taken the decision to set up Fundatia Orange locally. The role of the Foundation is to develop the current projects in which Orange is involved and launch new programmes intended to enhance access to education and social integration of marginalized people.
