Orange Compatible is a 'seal of approval' (endorsement) for mobile solutions which comprises the Orange Compatible mark and a worded endorsement. The use of the mark and worded endorsement alongside a third-party mobile application, content or solution ('product') shows to the outside world that we believe that the product functions properly on the Orange network and that it:
who can gain the Orange Compatible endorsement? Orange Compatible is awarded by Orange Partner to mobile products (not to premium members or contracted partners themselves):
(nb: * all mobile products held within the Orange Internal Product Catalogue will have passed industry standard testing and Orange Compatibility testing (if relevant), and (subject to satisfaction of the last two points above) will, by default, be granted the Orange Compatible endorsement).
what does the Orange Compatible worded endorsement say? The worded endorsement to be used by premium members and contracted partners - at all times in association with the mark - will say the following: "Orange has tried and tested this application, content or solution and is satisfied that it is compatible with Orange technology. However, because this isn't an Orange service, please contact [name of premium member or contracted partner] on [phone number / url] for customer support." how and where can I use Orange Compatible? how do premium members get the Orange Compatible endorsement? If you are an Orange Partner premium member, you will need to carry out and pass both Orange Compatibility and Industry testing as relevant for your product, and submit your product for consideration for inclusion in the Orange internal product catalogue. If approved (and subject to fulfilling the relevant criteria), your product will be granted the Orange Compatibility endorsement. (nb. if you already a current commercial relationship with an Orange country, or have a partner relationship with the Business Solutions team within the UK, Orange Partner may work directly with your Orange contact to fast-track your membership upgrade to contracted partnership status and test your product for you). how do contracted partners get the Orange Compatible endorsement? If you are an Orange Partner contracted partner, you will need to submit your product for inclusion into the Orange internal product catalogue, in order to get ther Orange Compatible endorsement. Note that to do this, you will need to carry out and pass both Orange Compatibility and Industry testing as relevant for your product. If approved (and subject to fulfilling the relevant criteria), your product will be granted the Orange Compatibility endorsement. how do I know I've been awarded the endorsement? If you gain the endorsement, you will receive an email from the Orange Partner team, stating explicitly for which version of which product you have been awarded the endorsement.
