how does the Orange Start-Up programme work?
The Orange Start-Up programme aims to support 'open innovation', stimulating partnerships with innovative and young companies worldwide, to launch new converged services.
The programme identifies and supports start-up or young businesses, with great ideas for innovative new services, which are of interest to Orange customers.
Once a start-up with a great idea has been identified, they will be given access to a live customer base to commercially trial their idea.
The trial is undertaken with no integration to existing Orange services to minimise delay and impact on the network – any interface with the network required must be undertaken manually.
The product will need to be branded Orange.
Trials last for a maximum of 3 months – the emphasis of the programme is to get results and answers quickly for start-ups, using minimum resources.
If the trial is successful and proves that our customers do indeed want this product, then it will be taken through the steps needed for commercialisation.
Through the programme successes, Orange is able to ensure our customers have access to the latest services, without becoming an expert in all these areas ourselves.
