The Orange Trial Factory reduces time to market for innovative value-added mobile and convergent products and services, for the French market.
|
Established in 2007, the Trial Factory provides trials for innovative mobile and convergent products and services of interest to the French market, with a view to commercialising them with Orange France.
In short, the programme finds the 3rd parties, tracks-down a 'sponsor' within Orange, runs the trial and then - if all is successful - commercialises the service with Orange France.

what makes a trial candidate?
A trial candidate must be an innovative product or service in the value-added services domain, either mobile or convergent, appropriate for the French market.
There are no limitations – innovative products can come from a start-up, or from a large established company.
Products must exist at least in a beta stage, and must be able to be deployable in a commercial environment within 3 to 6 months.

the integration and IT side
Trials rely on a dedicated in-house server platform, and an IT partner, to ensure fast trial completion.
An agile development method is used, to ensure that prototypes can be built, whilst retaining the flexibility to react to changes in requirements.
Components are re-used where possible, to minimise time delay and costs.
