the Orange Innovation Contest

This opportunity allows for the 'best of the best' to compete for a possible commercial contract with Orange, and will offer unparalleled exposure to the major decision makers for fixed, mobile, broadband and TV offerings, including Livebox, within Orange and the France Telecom group.

The objective of this unique and prestigious Contest is to give you high-profile exposure to senior decision makers and gain fast-track commercial success with Orange and the France Telecom group.

The Contest is designed to help you gain commercial exposure and success, both at the event, and afterwards.

The competition will be fierce, the hours of sweat and toil will be long - and the gains will be greater than ever before.

You will have the opportunity to compete for a possible commercial contract with Orange and a Wurlitzer 'One More Time' CD jukebox. There are also some great prizes for the runners up.

what is the Orange Innovation Contest?

The Contest has been built around existing Orange requirements and fast-tracks the process for radical technological breakthroughs and innovation with Orange and the France Telecom group.

Bluestreak Network the Orange Partner Contest winners from Florida May 2006, have launched multiple products in France and are now working with 6 Orange countries.

what are the criteria?

Innovative products or services will be considered from a wide range of possibilities. We don't want to limit your imagination!

If you produce solutions that you feel are partly or fully in line with our 'integrated operator' strategy, then we want to hear from you.

The judges will be looking for evidence that the entry demonstrates:
 highly innovative and original thinking in a product, service or technology concept
 clear commercial benefits for Orange and France Telecom or value add to the end users
 business performance improvements or cost reductions
 international appeal and the capability of being deployed in the Orange and France Telecom worldwide countries
 practicality – easy to adopt in the Orange and France Telecom market places.

what is the entry process?

Entry into the Orange Innovation Contest is free for registered attendees of Orange Partner Camp.

Once you've completed the form, please send it back to us at developers@orange.com with 'Orange_Partner_Camp_Contest_entry' in the subject line.

To be eligible to compete, we must receive your entry by 16:30 (CET) Monday 23 October.

what is the judging process?

stage one

Monday 23 October
 using the entry form, entrants must answer some short questions, about their product or service for consideration by a judging panel
 the first assessment of entries will take place on the afternoon of the first day (Monday 23 October) of Orange Partner Camp

 at 20:00 (CET) a list will be available at the 'info point' detailing which companies were successful from Stage One
 the successful companies will be invited to deliver a 5 minute presentation, the next day, on their proposal.

stage two

Tuesday 24 October (09:00 - 11:30)
 the successful companies will deliver their 5 minute presentations on their proposals to a panel of judges.

The panel will be made up of Orange Partner representatives and key stakeholders from Orange and the France Telecom group.

Feedback will be provided by the panel, based on how best the product or service meets specific Orange and France Telecom requirements, offering advice on how to tweak the proposal to create 'the best fit' with Orange.

 the judges will select a short-list of companies from Stage Two to go forward to the Final Stage

 at 13:00 (CET) a list will be available at the 'info point' detailing which companies will go forward to the Final Stage
 the successful companies will be invited to deliver a FINAL 5 minute presentation on their proposal to a panel of judges.

The short-listed companies will have a few hours to tweak their final proposal at the event.

For those companies who are unsuccessful at this stage, there will be additional opportunities to gain feedback from an Orange Partner representative at the event.

You may also wish to check out the additional 1-2-1 activities taking place at the event, which will provide you with further opportunities to showcase your products and services.


final stage

Tuesday 24 October (16:00 - 18:00)
 the short-listed companies will present their final proposal.

Out of the shortlisted companies, the panel made up of senior Orange and France Telecom decision makers will choose a winner and two runners-up.

The winner and two runners-up will be announced at the Closing Pow-Wow on the last day of Orange Partner Camp.

what are the prizes?

for the winner…

The overall Contest winner will have their product or service submitted to and championed at the Orange Innovation Board, providing them with the possibility of having their product or service commercialised in one or all of the Orange countries.

Plus, a Wurlitzer 'One More Time' CD jukebox – a classic style jukebox with hand crafted finish, 8 colour dancing bubble tubes and rotating changing colour cylinders with a fully visual playing mechanism.

All short-listed candidates will have gained the invaluable opportunity of pitching to Orange and France Telecom senior decision makers.

Following the event, their solutions will be featured on the Orange Partner website.
